About Merrick Auto Museum
The Merrick Auto Museum was incorporated in 1992 by Jim and Richard Merrick. The Merrick’s were avid automobile enthusiasts with a passion for both the hobby and history of the industry.
They started the collection with 11 fully restored antique automobiles. Over the years they grew the collection to include 100+ automobiles, with a full research library, and automobile memorabilia.
In 2019 the car collection and memorabilia were sold at RM Sotheby’s Auction.
Today the Merrick Auto Museum holds the world’s largest collection of automobile literature, ranging from the 1800’s to present day.
In 2020 the museum purchased Walter Millers literature collection in its entirety, growing the museums library to include a wide range of present-day literature.
