Revving Up Fun: The Cars and Cones Car Show Brings Community and Chrome Together

Sherman County Reservoir, Loup City, NE – This past weekend, car enthusiasts, families, and foodies gathered for the first annual Cars and Cones Car Show, a vibrant celebration of classic rides, custom builds, and community spirit.

Held under sunny skies at Tradewinds Marina, the event drew about 30 – 35 cars, from shining chrome classics to roaring engines. Attendees enjoyed the sights and sounds of vintage steel, along with the unmistakable aroma of sizzling burgers and cool ice cream cones drifting through the crowd.

Unlike many shows, there were no trophies or bragging rights on the line. The focus was on pure enjoyment – dusting off cars from garages, hitting the road for a Sunday drive, and sharing stories with friends old and new.

Events like this remind us that the car hobby isn’t only about preservation, it’s also about participation.
